Don K. Williams earned an MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory. A dedicated teaching artist, director actor and writer, Don has been a working professional and educator for over 25 years, directing over 100 off Broadway, regional and collegiate productions and appearing in over 75 plays and numerous commercials, films and television around the country.
Don served as the Head of Acting for the New York University / Tisch BFA program at the Stella Adler Studio from 2007 until 2011 where he directed over 30 productions and taught over 1,000 NYU BFA students. He also served as the National Recruitment and Audition Officer for Stella Adler Studio NYC, auditioning well over 1500 prospective undergraduate actors a year. He is currently the Head of Performance and Directing for the Scottsdale School of Film and Theatre.
Students of Don have appeared on Broadway in Hamilton, War Horse, Fun Home, Bombay Dreams, Equis, and many more. Currently, Don has no less than 10 students working as series regulars and more than 30 in feature films. Don fully believes that to succeed in this craft you have to find out who you are, be happy with what you find and give that discovery to the world every day.
Don’s students have been accepted to prestigious schools such as Yale, Brown, Michigan, Central School of Drama, NYU, USC, UCLA, and RADA.
